Clearing the CMOS, powering down and taking out the battery for a hour, and clearing CMOS again.Ģ. I have a 5960X, G.Skill 16GB 3000, Cooler Master Nepton 280L, and Rampage V Extreme.ġ. The problem seems like it's either coming from the CPU or motherboard, not sure. I found out the quick way by running RealBench without the radiator fans increasing in RPM (there is always an audible sound, and I check the fan RPM and temps on the OC Panel and in AI Suite 3. Of course, the huge problem with this is the CPU and case fans won't respond appropriately when this happens. If the computer is shut down and booted back up, it doesn't seem to ever happen. This issue is happening mostly when the I perform a BIOS or Windows restart about 20% of the time. After spending days getting the boot issues worked out (still get a Q-Code of 98 after running RealBench v2.2), now on occasion, the CPU temperature will not show up in either BIOS (tried both chips) or in Windows or it will show a flat temperature of 11c.
